(…and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us)

Abundant examples in the Gospels connect Jesus’ mission on earth with forgiving sin and overcoming evil. Jesus was well known for eating and drinking with sinners, healing their illnesses and forgiving their sins. The Church has a long history of living the mission of Christ to forgive sins, first through Baptism and then through the continuous care and healing found in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Penance) for the first time is an exciting moment in your journey of faith. It is a time to focus on God’s mercy, forgiveness of our family, friends and community and celebration of forgiveness.

We offer First Reconciliation in second grade.
